Reporting directly to Chairman and Managing Partner Jean Schmitt, Smida will lead local fundraising efforts, identify investment opportunities, and contribute to the M&A strategies for Jolt Capital’s existing portfolio. With over twenty years of experience in private equity and investment banking in multiple regions, including France, the UK, and Hong Kong, Smida brings substantial expertise to her new role. She has previously held significant positions at firms like Actis, Kerogen Capital, Natixis, and Ethos Private Equity. Smida also holds a MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster Jolt Capital’s influence and operations in the UK and the broader European region.
