PolyAI, a leader in enterprise voice assistants, has raised nearly £40 million in a Series C funding round. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from Cambridge University’s Machine Intelligence Lab, PolyAI serves almost 100 enterprise clients, including major corporations like FedEx, PG&E, and Marriott. The funding round saw participation from new investors such as Hedosophia, Nvidia’s NVentures, and Zendesk, alongside existing investors like Khosla Ventures and Georgian. PolyAI has now accumulated over $120 million in funding to date. The company has showcased significant achievements, including launching one of the world’s first generative AI-powered voice assistants and creating a multilingual enterprise assistant. CEO Nikola Mrki stated the company’s mission to handle over half of all automated customer service calls within five years. Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures emphasized the transformative impact of AI on industries and affirmed ongoing support for PolyAI.
