London-based Sona, a shift worker management company, has successfully raised $27.8 million in a Series A funding round led by Felicis. Founded by Steffen Wulff Petersen, Oli Johnson, and Ben Dixon in 2021, Sona had previously secured $1.6 million in August 2021 and $5.1 million in a seed round led by Gradient Ventures in April 2022. The company’s platform, which supports frontline workers across sectors like hospitality, has created 4.6 million shifts and experienced revenue growth exceeding 400% in 2023. The new funding will facilitate further expansion of Sona’s go-to-market function and enhancement of its AI capabilities. Additional investors in this round included Northzone, Gradient Ventures, SpeedInvest, Antler, BAG Ventures, and various angels, bringing Sona’s total funding to over $40 million. Sona aims to revolutionize workforce management with its AI-driven, industry-specific software that offers accurate forecasting, automated scheduling, and data-driven productivity models.
