Watershed Health has secured $13.6 million in seed funding to expand its patient care coordination platform. The funding round was led by First Trust Capital Partners, with participation from FCA Venture Partners, Create Health Ventures, Impact Engine, 450 Ventures, LDH Ventures II/Launchpad Digital Health, MassMutual Ventures, Capstar Partners, and Wanxiang Healthcare Investments. Watershed’s platform aims to centralize patient information, enabling seamless communication among healthcare providers and improving patient outcomes. With rising demand from payers and providers across the US, the company plans to scale its operations nationally. Founded in 2013 by Dr. Chip Grant, an interventional cardiologist, the company initially served the Alabama Gulf Coast region but rapidly expanded due to effective cost-saving and quality care. Watershed’s clients include major US health plans and numerous care providers. The company’s platform integrates with existing healthcare infrastructure, providing real-time insights, and enhancing care coordination. Additionally, the funding will support the growth of their engineering, development, customer success, and sales teams, as well as compliance with regulatory standards like HIPAA.
