Danone, a global food and beverage company, has announced the completed sale of its Essential Dairy and Plant-Based (EDP) business in Russia to Vamin R LLC. The transaction follows the announcement in March 2024 that the necessary regulatory approvals from Russian authorities had been received. This move is part of Danone’s broader Renew strategy aimed at restoring growth, competitiveness, and value creation. Danone, headquartered in Paris, sells products in over 120 markets and reported sales of €27.6 billion in 2023. The company’s portfolio includes well-known brands such as Actimel, Activia, and evian. Danone aims to achieve B Corp certification globally by 2025 and is listed in multiple sustainability indexes.
