Prosus, a Netherlands-based marketplace specialist, and its South Africa-based parent company Naspers have announced the appointment of Fabricio Bloisi as their new CEO. He will replace Bob van Dijk, who stepped down in September. Bloisi will also join the Naspers board as an executive director on July 1 and the Prosus board following the AGM in August. Current interim CEO Ervin Tu will transition to the role of president and chief investment officer. Bloisi, the CEO of Prosus’ leading Latin American food delivery company iFood, brings a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship. Prosus and Naspers reported $342 million in revenue from their classifieds business unit for the first half of the fiscal year, a 32% year-over-year increase, with year-end results scheduled for June 24.
