Meatable, a foodtech company focused on cultivated meat, has appointed Jeff Tripician as its new CEO, effective June 17. Tripician, who currently serves as CEO for Grass Fed Farms, will replace Krijn de Nood, the current CEO and co-founder, who will retain a position on the Board of Directors. With over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Tripician has a proven record in growing brands and advancing sustainable meat initiatives. His tenure included leadership roles at Perdue Premium Meat Company and the successful merger of Teton Waters Ranch and SunFed Ranch at Grass Fed Farms. Tripician brings with him a wealth of experience in supply chain operations, marketing of sustainable meat products, and M&A activities. Meatable has recently halved its production time for cultivated meat and aims to achieve cost parity with animal-based meat. The company is planning a commercial launch in Singapore later this year, followed by an expansion into the U.S. market. Dean Banks, former CEO of Tyson Foods, has also joined Meatable’s Board of Directors as part of its strategic U.S. market entry.
