TransDigm Group Incorporated has finalized its acquisition of SEI Industries LTD, a provider of engineered products for aerial firefighting and liquid transportation solutions. Headquartered in Delta, British Columbia, SEI Industries is renowned for its Bambi Bucket®, which is used globally for combating forest fires. Expected to generate around $30 million in revenue for 2024, SEI derives about 85% of its income from aftermarket services. Kevin Stein, CEO of TransDigm, expressed confidence in the acquisition’s alignment with TransDigm’s long-term value generation strategy. The deal, financed through existing cash reserves, further solidifies TransDigm’s position in the aerospace industry by adding highly specialized products to its portfolio.
