New Summit Investments LLC has announced its latest investment in Clean Energy Ventures (CEV) amounting to $305 million for their second fund. CEV, established in 2017, focuses on early-stage climate innovations capable of significantly mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, targeting at least 2.5 gigatons by 2050 per investment. New Summit’s support underscores its commitment to combating climate change through sustainable investments. The management team of CEV, including Daniel Goldman, Temple Fennell, and David Miller, bring extensive experience and dedication to scaling decarbonization technologies. This investment from New Summit’s fourth fund reinforces their focus on sustainable and impactful investing. Previously, New Summit served on the Limited Partner Advisory Committee for CEV’s first fund, which committed $110 million to 20 companies with high emission reduction potential.
