ExpressionEdits, a company founded in 2021 by Dr. Krt Tomberg, Professor Allan Bradley, and Dr. Liliana Antunes based on research from the University of Cambridge, has successfully raised $13 million in seed funding. The company’s innovative intronization technology, which introduces noncoding DNA sequences known as introns into artificial genes, aims to significantly enhance gene expression and protein production. The funding round was co-led by Octopus Ventures and redalpine, with participation from BlueYard Capital, Wilbe Capital, Acequia Capital, Amino Collective, and Hawktail.
