This acquisition aligns with Biesterfeld’s strategy of geographical expansion and solidifies its position in the sub-Saharan African region. Founded in 2002 by Graham Blyth, Aerontec has grown to become a key player in the distribution of composite materials, serving industries such as marine, transportation, consumer goods, and aerospace. The acquisition will enable Biesterfeld to leverage Aerontec’s strong market presence, certified warehousing, and distribution facilities in multiple South African cities, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Jeffreys Bay, and Durban. Both companies share similar values and strategic goals, aiming to combine their expertise to accelerate the growth in the composites market and beyond.
