London-based Octopus Energy has bolstered its global presence with new investments from Galvanize Climate Solutions and Lightrock. This latest deal follows further investments from Generation Investment Management and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, bringing Octopus Energy’s current valuation to $9 billion. Galvanize, with a $1 billion Innovation + Expansion Fund, will support Octopus’ North American growth, while Lightrock will leverage its presence in Europe, Asia, and Latin America to drive forward the company’s global expansion. Octopus Energy, known for its proprietary technology platform Kraken, aims to revolutionize the energy sector through smart, sustainable solutions.
