Ratos, a Swedish business group, has announced that its portfolio company, LEDiL, is set to acquire Ingemann Components. Ingemann specialises in optimising light output and luminaire efficiency and has established a leading position in the Nordic office lighting industry. The acquisition is in line with Ratos’s strategy of expanding through add-on acquisitions; the firm has completed 19 such acquisitions since 2021. LEDiL, a Finland-based leader in secondary optics for LED lighting, plans to leverage its global distribution network to accelerate Ingemann’s growth. The combined offerings of LEDiL and Ingemann are expected to create synergies and expand the customer base globally. Key executives have highlighted the complementary nature of the two companies, with promises of enhanced customer service and operational excellence.
