VoltShare, a company providing electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for the hospitality industry, announced it has secured £500,000 in pre-seed growth funding. The round was spearheaded by SFC Capital and supported by the London Co-Investment Fund, Bethnal Green Ventures, Copa Ventures, and various angel investors. The funding will largely be allocated towards enhancing VoltShare’s presence in the hospitality market by ramping up sales and marketing initiatives. Additionally, the capital will be utilized to develop new technological features aimed at entering new EV charging market segments, including shared office car parks, residential block charging solutions, and fleet/commercial hybrid car park management. Founder Sheng Liu expressed excitement about the partnerships and the potential for significant growth. Ed Stevenson, investment executive at SFC Capital, noted the mutually beneficial opportunity for both the hospitality industry and EV drivers. VoltShare aims to accelerate its growth and bring its market-differentiating solutions to a wider audience.
