GEP, a leading provider of AI-driven procurement and supply chain software, announced the acquisition of OpusCapita, a Helsinki-based company known for its e-invoicing and procurement solutions. This strategic acquisition is set to strengthen GEP’s market leadership in the Nordic countries and Northern Europe, complementing its presence in the UK, Central, and Southern Europe. The merger combines GEP’s industry-leading procurement platform, GEP SMART, with OpusCapita’s advanced e-invoicing and AP automation solutions, creating a robust customer base of global enterprises. Founded in 1985, OpusCapita supports 600 clients with 220 employees located across the Nordics, continental Europe, and Pittsburgh, USA. OpusCapita, which will operate as a subsidiary of GEP, aims to leverage GEP’s scale and R&D capacity for further growth. The acquisition terms were not disclosed, and PSG Equity, a growth equity firm that acquired a majority stake in OpusCapita in 2019, exits through this deal. GEP’s extensive portfolio includes platforms like GEP QUANTUM, GEP NEXXE, and GEP GREEN, which consistently receive accolades from industry analysts like Gartner and Forrester.
