Orchard Street Investment Management has acquired a highly reversionary industrial estate in Charlton, South East London for approximately £21 million through its £400 million Impact Fund. The estate, which is fully-let and strategically located near key commercial centres and transport networks, is targeted for transformation to meet stringent environmental and social objectives. The planned refurbishments include improving the property’s energy efficiency, installing renewable energy sources, and providing opportunities for local apprenticeships. This acquisition aims to address the impending reduction in industrial stock in the area, leading to enhanced rental growth and occupier demand. This marks the second acquisition by the Fund, following last year’s purchase of Euroway Trade Park.
