Capital Dynamics, a global private asset management firm, has announced the successful acquisition of six solar photovoltaic (PV) assets in Spain, which collectively amount to approximately 317 MWp. These assets were acquired in two separate transactions. The first transaction includes three construction-ready solar PV assets in Andalusia, totaling approximately 157 MWp, with completion expected by the end of 2024. The second transaction comprises three fully consented and construction-ready assets in Aragon, also totaling approximately 160 MWp, expected to be operational by the second half of 2025. Both acquisitions include power purchase agreements with a major S&P 500 company. According to Dario Bertagna, Co-Head of Capital Dynamics Clean Energy, these acquisitions enhance the firm’s portfolio and align with its investment strategy focused on Spain’s promising PPA market. The acquired portfolios are anticipated to generate enough clean energy to power over 195,751 homes annually and avoid 3.83 million metric tons of CO2 emissions throughout their operational life. The acquisition process was advised by Baker McKenzie (legal), Everoze, and Enertis (technical). Capital Dynamics has been active in Europe’s clean energy sector since 2013 and currently manages nearly 2GW of subsidy-free assets.
