Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, in an event held yesterday, commissioned multiple NNPC Retail Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Stations in the country’s capital, Abuja. These stations are part of a larger initiative involving the commissioning of 12 CNG stations across Abuja and Lagos by Phoenicia Group Libya LLC, a prominent private equity firm. The strategic move marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s quest for cleaner energy alternatives, ensuring the availability and accessibility of CNG, thereby reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels and promoting environmental sustainability. The newly commissioned stations are expected to enhance the infrastructure for natural gas in Nigeria, catering to the growing energy needs while supporting environmental goals.
