Vetnique Labs, a leading pet health and wellness company based in Naperville, IL, has announced an agreement to acquire Lintbells, the UK maker of YuMOVE pet supplements, from European private equity firm Inflexion. The acquisition, set to close in the third quarter of 2024, aims to bolster Vetnique’s ability to provide science-backed supplements for pets under veterinary guidance. Supported by Gryphon Investors, this transaction will merge two key players in the pet health market, combining their expertise in joint mobility and digestive health solutions. Vetnique’s founder, James Bascharon, will remain the CEO, overseeing North American operations, while Fiona Hope will continue as CEO of YuMOVE for the UK and Europe. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. This significant expansion aligns with Vetnique’s vision to create a global platform in the $3 billion pet supplement market. Gryphon’s involvement further extends its footprint in the pet health sector, complementing its prior investment in Heartland Veterinary Partners. The advanced operational framework and resources from Gryphon are expected to facilitate further growth and innovation within the combined company.
