Birmingham-based Bendi Software has secured £815,000 in seed funding to develop its AI-powered data intelligence software, Prism. This innovative tool aims to identify and manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks within complex global supply chains, addressing challenges such as forced labour, health, and safety issues. The funding round was led by the West Midlands Co-Investment Fund (WMCO), part of Future Planet Capital, which invested £230,000. CEO and co-founder Mandeep Soor emphasized that the funding will support the development of Prism and expand their team, product offerings, and market reach. Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, highlighted the importance of such ventures for improving corporate social responsibility in large retailers.
