Vermont Public, the integrated public media organization, has appointed Vijay Singh as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2024, after conducting a comprehensive national search. Singh, an accomplished leader in public media, brings a wealth of experience in digital innovation and product strategy, having held various significant roles at KPCC in Los Angeles and Capital Public Radio in Sacramento, where he demonstrated his ability to effectively expand audiences and lead teams through significant transitions. Vermont Public’s board chair, Dennise Casey, praised Singh’s inclusive and strategic leadership qualities, expressing confidence in his ability to guide the organization into the future. Singh’s appointment follows the tenure of interim CEO Brendan Kinney, who had served since October 2023 and played a crucial role in securing stability during a transitional period for the organization. The search process was managed by a committee chaired by board member Tom Evslin, with support from Koya Partners, an executive recruitment firm specializing in mission-driven searches.
