Integrated Power Services (IPS), a North American leader in servicing, engineering, and remanufacturing of electrical, mechanical, and power management systems, has acquired the assets of ABB Industrial Services business. This acquisition, effective August 31, 2024, enables IPS to add new service locations in Arizona, Indiana, North Carolina, Alberta, and Ontario. These centers will bolster IPS’s service capabilities, including the repair of electric motors, switchgear, and rotating equipment. IPS President and CEO John Zuleger emphasized that this acquisition complements their offerings in renewables, copper mining, and aftermarket industrial services, and includes 115 new employees with legacy expertise from General Electric and ABB. This follows IPS’s acquisition of ABB’s hydrogenerator and transformer repair business in June 2022. With this addition, IPS now operates 88 locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Caribbean, aiming to be the foremost provider for customers’ critical infrastructure challenges.
