LPL Financial LLC (NASDAQ: LPLA) has agreed to acquire The Investment Center, Inc., a broker-dealer and investment advisor based in Bedminster, N.J. The transaction, expected to close in the first half of 2025, will bring The Investment Center’s $9 billion in assets and 240 advisors into LPL’s fold. The Investment Center, founded in 1986, provides back-office support, investment tools, and a range of non-proprietary products to independent financial advisors. LPL Financial believes this acquisition aligns with their strategic goals and advisor-first philosophy.
