Newterra Inc. has announced the acquisition of Carbon Service and Equipment Company (CSEC) from Encotech Inc. This acquisition is set to enhance Newterra’s comprehensive activated carbon treatment solutions and expand its offerings in carbon services, rentals, and media supply. CSEC specializes in providing activated carbon treatment solutions for efficient water and wastewater treatment processes. Kevin Cassidy, CEO of Newterra, emphasized that this acquisition aligns with their strategy to deliver full lifecycle solutions with innovative technologies and comprehensive services. The acquisition will enhance Newterra’s capabilities in Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and Florida, thereby improving service provision on the east coast and nationally. Encotech President Jason Lalli expressed enthusiasm over this transition, highlighting the historical collaboration between Newterra and CSEC. With the business transfer, Encotech plans to extend its portfolio to include new and innovative water treatment technologies, particularly in minerals and metals mining from industrial and oil and gas waste streams.
